Book a Candlelit Tales show to experience live music and storytelling with passion and playfulness to suit any occasion. We can tailor the themes of our stories to suit the time of year, your location or event, weaving in local landmarks and the mythic lore of places as requested.
For an anniversary, a wedding, or a landmark event, we can take your own story and make it mythic, weaving the tale of your life, or your group, and turning it into an epic worthy of the ages.
No matter how much or how little people know of Irish Mythology, we will bring stories for people who have never heard any Irish tales before and tales for those who know it all, performances for those who are very young or very old.
Our stories live in the oral tradition, fluid and adaptable, flowing with live music that accompanies and enhances.
We have been telling stories since 2014, and we continue to bring these stories to life and, where necessary, we can enhance our shows with glamour and gloss to make the stories shine in their very best light for the best experience.

Many Stories, Many Seasons, Many ways to tell a story
Our performances have ranged from cosy fireside storytellings and animated school shows for kids, to big festivals on big stages; and outdoor fire shows at ancient monuments. We take inspiration from the Celtic Calendar and tell stories that are associated with the season and the location. At Samhain, Imbolg, Bealtaine, and Lughnasa, we tell the stories that have stood the test of time, endlessly renewable and endlessly renewed.
We began telling our stories in a small crowded room above a pub in Dublin in 2014. We continue to gather together in various places to listen to and feel the power of these stories together.
We have performed in large venues across Ireland, where big groups have come to laugh, listen and roar alongside the epic scale of these tales. With music to match the occasion, we will bring you on a trip you won’t forget.
We have been telling stories for younger audiences since 2015, and we continue to invite them to join in the creation of an exciting and inspiring initiation into the ancient tales of this island.
We have been performing on a wide variety of stages and sacred sites across Ireland. At Púca Festival 2022, we gathered at Trim castle for an invocation to the goddess of battle rage, with music, chanting, fire, and enough light to illuminate the dark.
