Wolf Academy Facilitator Training & Storytelling Retreat

Additional Zoom Calls prior starting May 11 with Cormac Noonan.

This in person retreat will be held on the June 15th – 19th, in Brú Moytura Sligo as part of a wider facilitators training for those who feel called to work with young people, guiding them in emotional resilience, confidence and authentic self-expression.
Across a 7-week live online training lead by Cormac Noonan, Wolf Academy’s founder, and a 4-day in-person retreat in Sligo, where Aron Hegarty will help lead the storytelling pillar of the programme, bringing over a decade of experience as a professional performer, educator and co-founder of Candlelit Tales.

What Aron Brings to This Training The Art of Storytelling

Aron teaches storytelling as a practical, embodied skill, not performance for performance’s sake, but story as a bridge of trust and connection to any audience. Participants will learn how to:

  • Craft stories with emotional impact
  • Speak with presence and authenticity
  • Adapt narrative for different age groups
  • Use myth and personal story to teach resilience

Through live development sessions, guided practice, and personalised feedback, each facilitator will uncover and refine their own story, the one only they can tell.

At the in-person retreat, Aron will also guide a fireside storytelling circle, where participants step fully into their voice in a supportive, immersive setting.

Alongside storytelling, the training equips facilitators to deliver workshops and mentoring circles for students aged 9–18, focused on emotional resilience, identity, responsibility and wellbeing, as well as teacher wellness sessions.
