We facilitate workshops using Irish Myth and Storytelling as our main source material to draw from. These workshops are for groups who want to delve deeper into the ancient wisdom of these tales. For school groups we have games based workshops, for team building and soft skill enhancing workshops we can facilitate a number of these workshops to care for any group’s needs.

Registration for 2024/2025 Turning the Wheel Together is now .
Turning the Wheel is our newest venture, a deep dive into the ancient traditions of the Celtic Wheel of the Year, an exploration of our own internal responses to the changing seasons, and an attempt to rewild ourselves and reclaim something of those lost traditions that feel authentic and important to us now.
This is an opportunity to connect deeply with the stories and myths of Irish tradition; to pull apart new-age invention from traditional survival; to feel our way through the stories and into a connection with a long-ago rhythm: the cyclical heartbeat at the centre of the universe.
We will coach, guide, and help you find stories that help you to connect to the time of year.
We will learn to perform and share those stories with one another, to deepen our practices as transmitters of stories, and researchers into stories. We will share our own memories, reflections, and growth as we progress through the turning of the seasons.
You will:
• Learn one or two new Irish stories every month
• Get to know your own tastes and storytelling style
• Learn techniques for telling to both adults and children
• Do your own research into myth and folklore
• Benefit from our close personal guidance
• Grow in confidence as the course progresses
• Gain access to our research into the festival survival
• Be guided on a reflective exploration of your own relationship to the seasons
• Learn about and choose to reignite traditions that have fallen out of practice
• Distinguish the historically supported folk traditions from recent romantic inventions
Learn how to tell a great story. Why does storytelling matter?
Storytelling, at its core, is about effective communication. And effective communication is a core skill in any field.
Storytellers can connect with their audiences, move and inspire, influence and entrance. This is a power as old as language, and its skills are not arcane. They can be learned, adopted and put into practice. By you.
If you have ever struggled to express yourself in meetings, in presentations, in interviews; if you have ever felt your listeners disengage and drift away from what you are saying; if you have ever felt paralyzed by nerves and unable to speak in public – this course can help you.
You will learn:
• To recognise and utilize storytelling structures in different contexts
• To become a clearer, more engaging communicator
• To build up your own confidence
• To keep an audience hanging on your every word, from first to last
Ideal for team building within companies, personnel in management, sales employees, teachers and anyone with an interest in expressing themselves better.
Option 1 – a 1 day or 4 hour masterclass • Option 2 – 2 day extensive course (8hours total).

For thousands of years, the legal code in Ireland was the Brehon Law. Said to be codified by the legendary King Cormac Mac Airt, this system was based on ideas of restorative justice, community, rank, and clan; and the island functioned without prisons or police.
In this workshop, we take part in a live co-created story to explore the principles of Brehon Law and how they compare and contrast with the principles of our current legal code. We test out this ancient code in a mock trial to see if it can work in our modern society, where clans do not hold sway and the individual is responsible for their actions.
We reflect as a group on how this legal system might influence our approach to modern questions of ethics, community, and social harmony.

This is another role playing, world building, & collaborative storytelling game for younger people. Unlike most stories, the pages in this book are empty, the story still to be written.
The players in this game are yet to be fixed, the roles are yet to be cast, the map is not yet drawn, and the possibilities are endless.
Cruthú was commissioned in 2022 by The Civic as part of their Ready, Steady, Show! programme of events for children & young people.
